The international workshop of the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) project Cyber4CA has been successfully completed on 2nd April 2026 at the International Information Technology University.
This three-day academic event brought together representatives of leading universities, governmental institutions, and industry organizations from Europe and Central Asia with the aim of strengthening cybersecurity education and aligning it with the evolving demands of the digital labour market.

Throughout the workshop, participants engaged in comprehensive discussions and collaborative activities focused on the comparative analysis of cybersecurity curricula, the exchange of European Union best practices and regional experiences, and the development of innovative academic approaches. Particular emphasis was placed on the design and modernization of Master’s degree programs in cybersecurity, as well as the conceptualization and implementation of CyberLab-based practical training environments to enhance hands-on learning and skills development.

The workshop resulted in a set of practical, evidence-based recommendations and strategic directions aimed at advancing cybersecurity education across Central Asia. These outcomes support the alignment of academic programs with labour market requirements, promote the integration of modern teaching methodologies, and contribute to the development of sustainable institutional frameworks. Furthermore, the event significantly strengthened international cooperation, academic integration, and knowledge exchange among consortium partners.

The workshop concluded with a formal closing session and a certificate awarding ceremony, recognizing the active participation and valuable contributions of all attendees. The Cyber4CA project now enters the implementation phase, focusing on the development and delivery of high-quality, innovative cybersecurity education programs and training initiatives, thereby contributing to the long-term advancement of digital competencies in the region.
